Human Resources Coordinator

Sidwell Friends, a coeducational Quaker day school with campuses in Washington, DC, and Bethesda, MD, seeks a†Human Resources Coordinator to join its HR Department.†Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for providing a broad range of clerical/administrative duties within the department and supporting key aspects of document retention†and data management in the Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS).

This position provides a tremendous amount of support to the school-wide recruitment/hiring process, including posting job ads, coordinating†the applicant tracking system (ATS), training internal users, screening resumes, scheduling job candidates as needed, assisting with travel arrangements and organizing Google Team Drives that house resumes and other pertinent information. Responsible for serving as departmental receptionist, answering employee questions, responding to employment verification inquiries, supporting the orientation / onboarding experience, tracking employee training, professional development and completion of performance evaluations, full life-cyle HRIS data management for all casual/non-benefits employees (roughly 300 employees each year) and lending regular†support to the Manager of Benefits & HRIS with routine†benefits administration.

Must be be adept at being able to identify and resolve programs in a timely manner. Strong interpersonal skills are also required, as well as the ability to communicate clearly, both written and orally. A passion for customer service is a must. Must perform with the utmost level of confidentiality at all times and have the ability to accurately complete assignments in a swift and accurate manner with impeccable attention to detail.

A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in an HR department is required, preferably in the areas of recruitment and training; exposure to benefits administration is a plus. Experience with ADP (or equivalent platform) is required. A bachelorís degree or equivalent amount of experience is required. Human resources experience in a school setting is a plus.
