Sidwell Friends School, a co-educational Quaker day school, seeks a Full Time 7th and 8th Grade History Teacher who genuinely appreciates and actively supports the Quaker philosophy that underlies our school for school year 2025-2026. This full-time benefits-eligible position is based on the Washington, DC, campus and begins in August 2025. Reporting to the Middle School Principal, the History Teacher will teach 7th grade United States history and 8th grade World history. Other duties include advising a group of 7th and 8th grade students; writing student reports; effective communication and collaboration with students, colleagues, and families; attendance at meetings; and other faculty duties such as recess and lunch supervision. The omission of specific responsibilities does not preclude duties logically related to the position from being assigned. Qualifications
